Currently, I favor my new iPad over most any other inanimate objects, but that is largely the immediacy of its freshness.  If I were to try to honestly determine to which object I am most emotionally connected, I’d probably find myself broken down and sobbing over lost treasures.  Even after that, my final verdict would still probably be the human skull that Granddaddy gave me when I was a boy.
